COVID-19: 44 new cases

Kathmandu, March 22 (RSS): In the last 24 hours, 44 more people have been found infected with the corona virus. This was revealed in 6,594 samples tested for the virus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of active cases of COVID-19 is currently 2,688. During the period, 481 people have returned home after recovering from COVID-19. The recovery rate is 98.5 percent, the Ministry said.

Meanwhile, one person died today of Corona Virus, taking the death toll to 11, 951 so far.

According to the ministry, Lalitpur and Kathmandu are among the districts with more than 200 cases. Currently, 2,637 people are being treated in home isolation, 51 in institutional isolation, 23 in ICU and two with the support of ventilator.

In the last 24 hours, 73,642 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19, the ministry said.
